It’s spooky season and you know what that means! Spooky snacks! Ok, these aren’t particularly spooky, but they do have a halloween themed name; Hocus Pocus Buns. Why are they called that? Well, they have a disappearing marshmallow on the inside! You put the marshmallow in, and when they come out of the oven the marshmallow is gone! Hocus Pocus!
Pro tip: If you’re looking for a really gooey treat, put a lot of marshmallows inside and it will melt down and get really ooey and gooey! Want to learn how to make these? Watch the video below or click the button below to get to the recipe. Enjoy!

You guys, I mean it when I say this recipe is so easy. The first thing you’ll want to do is preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then melt your butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Next, mix your sugar and cinnamon together. I’ll let you decide the sugar to cinnamon ratio though. As Tabitha Brown says, that’s your business.
Assemble
Now that you’re prepped and ready to go, let’s assemble our buns.
- Take your marshmallow and dip it in the melted butter.
- Then roll it in your sugar and cinnamon mixture.
- Take one triangle of your crescent dough and wrap it around the marshmallow. Pinch all the seams together. You’ll want to move quickly because you want your dough to still be somewhat cold when you put them in the oven.
- Place your bun on a tinfoil-lined baking sheet and repeat until all the buns are assembled!
Easy, right?
Bake and serve your Hocus Pocus Buns
Put your tray of buns in the oven and let them back for 12-15 minutes. Once they are done, let them sit for 5 minutes.
If you want to get extra gooey, mix some powdered sugar with some water (or milk) and make a glaze to drizzle on top!
Serve these babies up and enjoy! When you rip them open, you’ll see that the marshmallow has disappeared! That, or they’re extra gooey inside because you put a lot of marshmallow in them. Either way, they’re delicious!
