Warby Parker ReviewI know I’m late to the party but, hey, do you need glasses? Are you looking for a new place to buy your glasses? I’m happy you found this post! As a first-time glasses buyer, I was overwhelmed by all of the options that are out there. Luckily I knew about Warby Parker and my initial overwhelm was quickly turned into excitement. If you’re in the market and have never tried Warby Parker before, keep reading.

About Warby Parker

Warby Parker prides themselves on offering designer eyewear for great prices; Glasses and lenses start at $95! With a large number of frames to choose from, they offer prescription lenses, sunglasses, as well as blue-light blocking lenses. Warby Parker also does eye exams! Talk about one-stop shopping! One of the things I love the most about them is that they’re passionate about helping others. That’s why they have the buy a pair, give a pair program; where when you buy a pair, they give a pair to someone in need! How great is that? Check out their website for more information!

Why I Tried Warby Parker – A Brief History Of My Eyeballs

Ok, here’s a little back story on how I ended up at Warby Parker in the first place. I was around 28/29 when I realized that my vision was off. As someone who takes quite a few photos, I started to notice that focusing the camera wasn’t as easy as it used to be and focusing on details really started to strain my eyes. I also had a hard time driving at night and found myself needing to squint. To add one more thing to the list, I was starting to get random headaches! I don’t usually get headaches unless I’m hungover or reading. Ever since I learned how to read, I’ve gotten headaches after 10-15 minutes. Spoiler, that’s an issue apparently! Anyway, I knew something was wrong and decided to go get my eyes checked.

Long story short, the eye doctor did her thing and told me ” You don’t have 20/20 vision, but it’s not bad enough to give you glasses.” I spent a good 15 minutes trying to convince her she was wrong, but never the less, I left the same way I walked in, without glasses.

Fast forward a few months and I decided to get a second opinion. I walked in, the doctor did his thing, and not only did I walk out of there with astigmatism, and lazy eyes, but I walked out with two prescriptions. One for regular use and one for reading (shocker). To address the lazy eye:

“You don’t have a lazy eye, but you don’t NOT have a lazy eye. Do these exercises.” – Eye Doc.

So yeah, there you go. That was the start of my glasses buying journey.

My In-Store Experience

The next day, we popped over to the mall where they have a Warby Parker location. I have a very tiny face and head, so trying glasses on was a necessity. We walked in and I was immediately overwhelmed by the number of glasses to chose from. How is a girl to choose? You try on as many as you can, that’s how. It took a while, but I ended up narrowing it down to two; which was great because I needed two. Yay, go me! The employee took note of my prescription and put these weird glasses on me. I think it was to measure where my pupils and things were, I’m still not too sure about that. We placed the order and that was it! I got two pairs of glasses and it only cost $190! What a bargain!

I waited for about a week, and my glasses arrived. Both were individually boxed and labelled. Each one came in its own hard case and was wrapped in the softest cleaning rag. I have to say, I was pretty impressed!

Buying Online

Now, I know not everyone has a Warby Parker located in their town. That’s totally fine though! Did you know you can order them online, and it’s super easy, and you can try before you buy? Yep! Start with their free home-try-on program! Pick FIVE different frames to be sent to you. Once they arrive, you can try them on and pick the one you like the best. It’s that easy! They even have a little quiz for you to take to narrow down the options. Which is perfect for someone who has a hard time choosing if there are too many options.

The Styles I have

The two styles I bought were the Hughes (top) and Chase frames (bottom). I absolutely love them! I wear them every day and they’re still in great condition. To my surprise, they actually still sell these too! If you like them, click here for the Hughes and here for the Chase.
