One of my favourite parts of a skin care routine is the bit where you hang out with your face mask on. Sometimes you look silly, sometimes you look creepy, but you always feel 100% awesome. I have tried so many different kinds of masks, and I’ve whittled them down to a few that I want to share with you. If you have sensitive skin like I do, you’ll want to check these out!
Face Masks
Judging from this and my post about skin care, I guess you have figured out that Pacifica is my favourite brand for skin care. Seriously, if you have sensitive skin like I do, YOU NEED TO GET SOME! #notsponsored, you just need this stuff. Ok, back to the face masks. They have more to choose from but these were the two that I decided to purchase first.
Pacifica Pore Refine Deep Detox Mask
First of all, it smells freaking delicious! It’s made with strawberry extract, cucumber extract, lemon peel, and cactus, and that’s a great combination if you ask me. This mask clears your pores and gets rid of excess oils while keeping your skin smooth and hydrated. Usually, when it comes to detoxing masks, I find that the majority of them are mud masks. That’s great if you’re into that kind of thing, but I find that mud masks leave my skin feeling really dry and irritated. This mask has more of a clear, watery, gel-like texture and feels extremely refreshing. It’s also really easy to wash off! Since purchasing this, Pacifica has changed the packaging to a squeeze tube, which is great if you’re more of a germaphobe and don’t want to scoop it out with your fingers.
Pacifica Future Youth Enzymatic Resurfacing Mask
I’m just going to get this out of the way, it doesn’t smell nearly as good as the other mask. I find it to be very “earthy”. It’s made with kale, papain, and kelp, so that’s probably what makes it smell earthy. Besides the smell, I love this mask. It has the same consistency as the detox mask and helps to exfoliate and brighten the skin. This mask, in particular, isn’t on Pacifica’s website anymore, probably because I bought this ages ago, but you can buy it on Amazon.com.
Sheet Masks
Ahhh, sheet masks. I love a good sheet mask, don’t you? Even if you’re sitting there, looking like you’ve just skinned someone, and are now wearing their skin on your face. Morbid? Yes. True? You know it! These things can look hella creepy, but hey, these are the ones I’ve been loving recently!
Pūrlisse Blue Lotus + Seaweed Sheet Mask
This mask is my #1, my ride or dies, my holy grail of sheet masks. It’s my favourite! If you’re looking to intensely moisturize your skin, you need this. It smells incredible, like a botanical garden. I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever been to one, but I just imagine that’s what one would smell like. After I wash my face, I pop one of these bad boys on and immediately feel like it’s working. You just chill with it on for 20 minutes, and when you take it off, your skin will feel super hydrated and refreshed. Another thing I like about this mask is how much liquid they put into the packets. The mask is completely saturated and a lot leftover! Once I take the mask off, I rub the excess onto my face, neck, and décolletage (oooooh, sexy). My skin feels great for days after using this mask!
Pūrlisse Coconut + Rice Sheet Mask
Once again, this mask smells incredible. I mean, it’s coconut, it obviously smells good. This mask leaves my skin feeling moisturized, as well as younger and firmer. I’m not old, but I’m not getting any younger, so I might as well start firming up that skin!
Pūrlisse Green Tea + Ginger Sheet Mask
I don’t have a photo of this mask, but it’s also wonderful. Smell’s great and makes me feel clean and energized. I’d suggest using this mask in the morning or as a pick me up in the afternoon!
BioRepublic Pomegranate Crush
I love their sheet masks. This one smells wonderful and makes my skin look brighter and feeling fresh. Their Cucumber Breeze mask is amazing too! One thing I really like about these sheet masks is how snug they fit onto your face. Sometimes, with other masks, I feel like I keep having to reposition them. This mask actually fit on my face, and that never happens because I have a tiny face!
Hopefully, I’ve just introduced you to your new favourite face mask today! Click the links below to pick one (or all) of them up! If you try one of these, let me know how you liked them in the comments! Also, take a look at my post with all of my skin care favourites!
